Biking
Both Mountain Biking and Road Biking enthusiasts will find an endless supply of challenges in Lycoming County. For the mountain biker there are countless dirt roads that cross state forest land and state game land in the county. Additionally, Rider Park is open for mountain biking when the trail conditions are stable enough to permit riding without damage to the trails. For the road biker, there are few areas with such an entangled network of lightly traveled country roads anywhere.
The Pine Creek Rail Trail extends 60.5 miles into some of the states most beautiful forest. The trail was selected by USA Today as one of their "10 great places to take a bike tour". The trails heritage as a railroad bed provides consistent and very gentle 2% grade. A variety of trail heads allow you to select the section of trail that you would like to explore. Incredible views of Pine Creek and the surrounding forests surrender to the towering vistas of the PA Grand Canyon. This is a truly a sight that you should not miss.
