During the early days of the World Series, the elimination rounds are played with games scheduled in a staggered time frame in both Lamade Stadium and Volunteer Stadium. For those truly passionate about baseball, this is the ultimate place to be - back to back games continue from late morning into the warm August evenings of Central Pennsylvania. Access to the stadiums is completely free and tickets (free) are required only for the late round games - typically the quarterfinals through the World Championship Game. Championship Game tickets are available through a lottery held by Little League International in February of each year.
Throughout the beautiful Little League Complex the atmosphere off of the playing field is relaxed and festive. It is a great venue for a family day at the ballpark - even the food is reasonably priced. Forget about the $5 dollar soda so common at major league parks. This is baseball food at its finest and most affordable.
The entire Little League Complex is modern and immaculately maintained. Clean, spacious restrooms; modern concessions; and beatifully groomed playing surfaces are the hallmark of this incredible facility. For those visiting outside of World Series Week, it is worth pulling off of US Route 15 in South Williamsport to take a peak at Lamade Stadium. A parking area located immediately to the East of the Little League International Headquarters provides an outstanding view of the facility.
